For the all round development of sports and sportspersons in the state, Bihar State Sports Authority is implementing several welfare schemes towards making sports a mass movement in Bihar. The government is on the verge of completing the construction of Outdoor Stadium in every block of the state and Sports Complex in every district on priority, so that sportspersons can be encouraged through training from the basic level.

Under the sports recruitment policy 'Medal Lao Naukri Pao', direct recruitment of outstanding players of Bihar, who have won medals in national and international competitions in government jobs is attracting a lot of youth towards sports in the state. Several programs are being run by the Bihar State Sports Authority for the selection, training, welfare and honor of talented players.
